Sea kayaking is another way to explore the ocean and enjoy the benefits of an adventure at sea. Fun, relaxing and safe; kayaking is a great way to test your skills while maintaining an enjoyable ride around the coastline. Our fully qualified instructors will teach you the basics, provide all the necessary safety equipment and help keep you safe. Depending on the sea conditions they will bring you to some of the cliffs, sea arches and hidden sea caves that makes this area of coastline so memorable!

Cost

Time Required:

Requirements:
- Confident swimmer
- We recommend that they are 14 years plus - if younger, they need to be accompanied by an adult in our double kayaks who can paddle on their behalf if they get tired.
Equipment provided:
- Wetsuit
- Single / double kayak - usually in double kayaks for tours
- Buoyancy aid
- Helmet
What should I bring?
- Swimsuit
- Towel
- We recommend you wear sun cream!
On The Day
- Arrive at the Jaws shop in Dunfanaghy at least 30 minutes before your lesson to get your wetsuit
- Drive to the small beach in Marblehill (Click here for direction)
- Meet your kayaking instructor in your wetsuit on the beach and start your adventure!
What’s involved
- Your qualified kayak instructor will equip you with the necessary safety equipment.
- Before getting into the water, they will give you a short land demonstration and go over the water safety points.
- Once in the water, your instructor will teach you the basic kayaking skills in the sheltered harbour, and depending on weather conditions, take you your coastal journey of Sheephaven Bay to see the sea caves, cliffs and arches.
